Dr. LEE Dong-Sub Was elected as the chairman of the KUKKIWON
WMC member Dr. LEE Dongsub Was elected as the chairman of the KUKKIWON(World Taekwondo Headquarters).Dr. LEE Dong-Sub appointed as WMC member on 2018.
KUKKIWON as the World Taekwondo Headquarters has vitalized Taekwondo in the form of the leading martial art by globalizing it since its foundation 1972. It laid the groundwork for Taekwondo's globalization by holding the 1st World Taekwondo Championships and establishing the World Taekwondo(WT) in 1973.
이동섭위원, 국기원 신임회장 당선
WMC 이동섭위원이 국기원(세계태권도본부) 원장으로 당선되었다. 이동섭의원은 2018년부터 WMC위원으로 활동하고 있다.
세계태권도본부인 국기원은 태권도의 역사와 미래를 위해 1972년 창립 이래 태권도를 세계화하여 선도적인 무예로 태권도를 활성화해 왔다. 제1회 세계 태권도 선수권 대회를 개최하고 1973년 세계 태권도 연맹 (WT)을 설립하여 태권도 세계화의 토대를 마련했다.
