In September last year, WMC obtained UNESCO’s approval for its consultative status as a NGO in official partnership with UNESCO. On March 1st, 2021, WMC stepped up even higher this year and officially obtained Permanent Consultative Membership (PCM) of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for Physical Education and Sport (CIGEPS).

WMC will be exercising equal status as other Consultative Members such as the ▲International Olympic Committee (IOC), ▲Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), ▲International Paralympic Committee (IPC), ▲Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF), ▲World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), ▲World Health Organization (WHO), ▲UNICEF, and other international sport organizations UN-affiliated organizations  to consult technical policies of UNESCO in the field of physical education and sports.
