Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Chairman of National Martial Arts Masterships Committee (NMC) Malaysia, has sworn to take the seat as the Menteri Besar on March 15.

On Hafiz Ghazi is a member of the United Malays National Organization (UMNO) and is a leading Malaysian politician.

Onn Hafiz Ghazi's great-great-grandfather was the first Menteri Besar of Johor, his great-grandfather was the seventh Menteri Besar of Johor and the founding leader of the UMNO, his grandfather was the third Prime Minister of Malaysia, and he is also the nephew of the current Minister of Defense.

NMC Malaysia, which consists of 13 martial arts organizations and 22 members, led by Onn Hafiz Ghazi, was established and approved by the World Martial Arts Masterships Committee in October 28 last year to disseminate martial arts and its Masterships Movement in Malaysia.

The position as Menteri Besar will further strengthen the cooperation between South Korea and Malaysia through the World Martial Arts Masterships Committee (WMC), as well as between Chungcheongbuk-do Province and Johor.

In addition, there are now higher hopes of further development of the Masterships Movement in Malaysia along with hosting the WMC Convention in Malaysia in the near future.
